Sapphire crystal shields the dial, luminous hands and hour markers cut through low light, and the unidirectional rotating bezel measures elapsed dive time. The light-powered Eco-Drive calibre E118 runs on light alone, never requiring a battery and holding roughly a year of reserve, with a screw-lock crown and quick-set date for everyday ease. Water resistant to 200 metres, it is genuinely capable underwater while remaining an expressive choice on land.

About Citizen
Citizen traces its roots to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, set up in 1918 to make Japanese timepieces. Its first pocket watch was completed in 1924 and named CITIZEN by Tokyo mayor Count Shinpei Goto, in the hope that it would be loved by the citizens for many years. Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. was established in 1930, and in 1952 it introduced the first Japanese-made watch with a calendar.
