The gold ion-plated case and matching stainless steel bracelet give the digital display a dressier register than the original, while the LCD keeps the retro character intact. A 1/100-second stopwatch, daily alarm and amber LED backlight sit behind the glass, and the auto-calendar runs without intervention. Mineral glass protects the face and the battery lasts around three years. Slender, warm-toned and unmistakably vintage Casio, it wears as easily with a shirt cuff as a t-shirt.
