When the original Seiko 5 Sports watch was released to mark the 50th anniversary of the brand’s first wristwatch, it revolutionised the art of watchmaking with an affordable, practical design. Remaining true to the original design in so many ways, this confident and masculine-looking Seiko 5 Sports watch bears a 42.5mm diameter and features the memorable off-set screw-down crown at 4 o’clock. The 100-meter water-resistant diving-inspired wristwatch boasts a classic black unidirectional rotating bezel that can be aligned with an arrow-tipped LumiBright coated minute hand for measuring elapsed time safely underwater. Other useful features include a robust stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp and a clear day-date feature at 3 o’clock, set against a white background for optimizing readability. The 4R36 automatic Calibre is put on show through the back of the case, providing a 41-hour power reserve once fully wound.
