Browse G-Shock by Series
CasiOak (GA2100 Series) — The modern classic. The GA2100-1A1 took off because it combines G-Shock toughness with a slim, wearable profile inspired by the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. Carbon core guard construction keeps it light. The GAB2100 adds Tough Solar power and Bluetooth connectivity — the version to get if you want a set-and-forget watch.
- Octagonal bezel design
- Carbon core guard structure
- 48.5mm case with ultra-slim 11.8mm profile
G-Shock Squares (5600 Series) — The original design, unchanged since 1983. The DW5600 is the purest expression of G-Shock — resin case, digital display, indestructible. Solar-powered versions (GWM5610) add atomic timekeeping so you never have to set the time.
- Original 1983 square silhouette
- World time and countdown timer
- Solar-powered variants available
Master of G — The professional line, split into three families: Mudmaster (Land), Gulfmaster (Sea), and Gravitymaster (Air). These are spec'd for extreme conditions — triple sensors, mud resistance, carbon fibre cases, sapphire crystals. Overkill for most people, exactly right for those who need them.
- Purpose-built for extreme environments
- Includes Mudmaster, Frogman and Rangeman
- 200m+ water resistance on diving models
G-Shock Full Metal — The premium tier. Stainless steel and titanium cases with the same G-Shock architecture underneath. The GMW-B5000 takes the original square design and builds it in metal — more refined, still just as tough.
- All-metal construction over resin core
- Sapphire crystal glass
- Dress-ready with G-Shock toughness
G-Shock Classic (G7900, GA100, GA700) — Larger analog-digital models with tide graphs, world time, and countdown timers. The G7900 is the surf and rescue watch; the GA100 adds magnetic resistance and an analog dial.
- Oversized analog-digital displays
- Bold colourway range
- Budget entry into the G-Shock range
What to Consider When Buying a G-Shock
Size and profile: G-Shock cases range from the slim 11.8mm CasiOak to the chunky 18mm Master of G. If you want something wearable under a shirt cuff, the GA2100 or DW5600 are the right choices. If you want maximum spec, the Master of G line sacrifices wearability for function.
- Most models 43–55mm lug-to-lug
- Thickness 11–15mm
- Lighter than they look due to resin case
Solar vs battery: Tough Solar models (GAB2100, GWM5610, all Master of G) charge from light and never need battery replacements. Standard models use batteries lasting 2–7 years. For a daily-wear or travel watch, solar is worth the small price premium.
- Tough Solar charges via indoor and outdoor light
- Battery models use CR2016 (2–3 year life)
- Solar recommended for daily wear
Features: Basic G-Shocks offer world time, countdown timer, and stopwatch. Step up to the GA2100 series for Bluetooth syncing; the Master of G adds triple sensors (compass, altimeter/barometer, thermometer). Work out what you'll actually use before buying a heavily featured model.
- Shock resistance (10m drop tested)
- Water resistance 200m standard
- Multi-band atomic timekeeping on premium models
