My First Week with the Citizen Attesa Satellite Wave Super Titanium Watch.
I have worn this watch for a week and have found myself looking at it way more than I would other watches. It's new so no surprise, but, it's also a real eye catcher. The blue dial and bezel just stand out and make it easy to rest eyes on. The hands and batons are beautifully designed and almost leap out when viewing.
The watch arrived showing AEST time and I am in Adelaide in summer, so the first task, after reading the quick start guide, was to locate it with the GPS and set Summer Time. This was so easy and I had it done in a minute or two. Then I had to reset it to not Summer Time last Sunday and that too was a cinch. I also love the whole minute markers being barely visible from looking directly at the dial but clearly visible when viewing at an angle (see photo).
The date window is very clear but the sub-dials take some getting used to. The "Mode" indicator at 3 o'clock is clear and I have used all modes except the alarm so far without any difficulty. The "Function" indicator at 9 o'clock is quite "busy" with a number of indications available. But after a week, I am quite used to it. Being so busy, it can be a little hard to read day of the week but practice is helping.
My biggest issue is with the "Dual Time" sub-dial at 6 o'clock. The minute hand using the outer scale is very clear and readable. However, the hour indicator uses a 24 hour dial which is quite unusual and is taking me some time to get used to. The inner scale can be difficult to read accurately…
